Collect less. Explain why.
This notice covers the community, proposal, support-interest, and institute email channels on machinepidgin.org.
Information we collect
We collect the information you submit: name, email, organization, role, interests, contribution statement, proposal content, support interest, and optional URLs or notes. Our server also receives ordinary technical data such as IP address and user agent for security and abuse prevention.
Why and how we use it
We use submissions and correspondence to respond, organize research and community work, assess proposals, prevent abuse, and plan funding. The AI Director may triage, categorize, summarize, or draft routine replies under the published constitution and human oversight. We do not sell personal information or publish your email address.
Storage and retention
Submissions are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database operated for Machine Pidgin. We retain them while the initiative is active or until they are no longer needed, subject to legal obligations. A more specific retention schedule will be published as governance matures.
